Creativity has a long history in psychology and definitions and explanations for the occurrence of creative behavior has great variability. Behavior analysis has approached creativity like any other behavior. First, creative behavior is defined as novel behavior. Second, the verbal community labels what is and what is not creative. Understanding the sources of control leads to some behaviors being labeled creative while others not. The current event discusses creativity from a behavioral perspective and discusses studies from Skinner to Pryor that showcase creative behavior.
